Major Works
OCADU Illustration Thesis
A series of eight works created over the course of my final year in OCADU's Illustration program.
Philosopher Georges Bataille theorized that humans’ sex drive and death drive are linked. This project compares contemporary expressions of sexuality and death with traditional image-making techniques and styles to show that Bataille’s idea remains relevant despite shifting sexual norms.
Pandemic Portraits
A collection of self-portraits created during the lockdown in February-April 2021.
In the midst of a the Covid-19 pandemic, our senses of self can be challenged due to the lack of external validation. This work seeks to examine the means through which interaction with others can impact one’s perception by cataloging every social exchange alongside a self-portrait.
